What is the link between thinking and seeing? How are
individuals’ thought processes related to the the
people around them? In the eye think lab, we use gaze,
speech and motion tracking technology to investigate how
perception and cognition are embedded in the social world.
We present pictures, speech and movies to participants.
They watch the displays, recall information, form opinions,
talk to each other and play games. We explore how the
identity, beliefs and simply the presence of other people
can influence individuals’ cognitive and perceptual
processing. On this website, you can learn more about our
research projects, download papers and become involved in
our research.
Since the Summer of 2008, the eye think lab has been part
of the Multimodal Lab in the Department of Cognitive, Perceptual and
Brain Sciences at University College London. Previously,
it lived in the Psychology Department, at UC Santa Cruz and passed through the
University of Reading. The lab director is Daniel C. Richardson.
